The relationship with yourself is the most important and enduring relationship you will ever have, and the foundation for every relationship you have in life, whether at work or at home. It is important to ensure this foundation is stable and realistic.
Some of us live with crippling doubts about our abilities. This can sometimes be associated with feelings of shame and guilt too, and usually go back a long time into the person’s history. The bigger the gap between who you think you are, and the person you would like to be, the greater the unhappiness.
Counselling can offer the chance to restore self- belief and free yourself from nagging self-doubt and unrealistic expectations.
